2008 GM PM Team Picture Picture

The GM Corporate Cup Team is recruiting runners, walkers, high jumpers, long jumpers and shotputters to participate in the 2008 Midwest Regional Corporate Cup Relays on June 14th, 2008. The team competes against Ford, DaimlerChrylser, Visteon, and other Southeast Michigan companies, in track and field style events. Events include: 10k Run, 5k Run, 5k Walk, multiple mixed (medley) relays with distances ranging from 100m - 1600m, long jump, high jump, shotput and an exhibition 100m dash.

The Midwest Corporate Athletic Association (MWCAA) and its parent organization The United States Corporate Athletic Association (USCAA) are non-profit organizations that promote health and fitness among corporate employees by sponsoring corporate athletic events. The main focus of the event is to promote health in the workplace and competition among corporate athletes. The events are team- or relay-oriented to make them equally competitive for men and women of all eligible ages. This event attracts a wide range of participants and anyone interested is encouraged to join. Check out our website for more information and to check out pictures and results from past years!

Registration Deadline: June 12th, 2008

Eligibility Standards  
Participants must be GM, GM-UAW, or GM on-site contract employees. GM retirees are eligible as are GM summer interns/co-ops. Sorry, family members of GM employees are not eligible to compete however they are more than welcome to come cheer us on and /or volunteer to help out at the event!

The team is collecting donations for Michigan Special Olympics and the Michigan Humane Society. Make an Online Donation today. We have been using this site for the past four years and have been very happy with how they handle our registrations and donations.
